HDPE is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum. It is sometimes called "alkathene" or "polythene" when used for pipes. With a high strength-to-density ratio, HDPE is used in the production of plastic bottles, corrosion-resistant piping, geomembranes, and plastic lumber. HDPE is commonly recycled.Sheet is new but may have light surface scratches. Please bear in mind that HDPE has a smooth surface on each face and that this material scratches very easily, because of this characteristic it is mostly used for mechanical applications where a cosmetic appearance is not required. You are buying ONE piece of NATURAL POLYETHYLENE HDPE 1/8" x 6" x 12" This material is natural HDPE and is non-textured. This version of HDPE is softer than other textured versions of HDPE and can scratch easily. Light markings or lines may be commonly found on the surface due to the processes used by the manufacturer. All of our dimensions are NOMINAL. There is a tolerance of (+/-)1/8" or 0.118" This material has unfinished saw cut edges. We also can do custom cuts, a minimum of 10 pieces.
